An online, hands-on training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at understanding how and why these systems make decisions will be organized by AI Factory Austria AI:AT and Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC) on 24 April 2026.
This training builds on a previous webinar on high-level Introduction to Explainable AI (XAI) and shifts the focus from concepts to practical application. Participants will work directly with data and models to explore how explainability can support data understanding, model development, and interpretation of results.
The training emphasizes hands-on experimentation, critical interpretation of explanations, and understanding when XAI supports trustworthy decision-making and when caution is required. It is intended as a practical continuation of the earlier conceptual training.
