Parallelization with MPI
An online, beginner-friendly course on parallelization using the Message Passing Interface (MPI) will be organized by Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC), EuroCC Austria, and High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) on 9 and 10 July 2026.
Parallel programming with MPI is the dominati programming model on clusters and distributed-memory architectures. This 2-half-days course teaches parallel programming with MPI starting from a beginners level. Hands-on sessions (in C, Fortran, and Python) allow participants to immediately test and understand the basic constructs of MPI.
After completing this free course, participants will gain a strong foundation in MPI programming, while an advanced parallelization with MPI course will be announced soon.
