Dr. Marija Mitrovic Dankulov from HPC Serbia attended the 6th International Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering (CMBEBIH 2025) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina last week. The conference, organized by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical and Biological Engineering Society (DMBIUBIH) with co-organizers Verlab Institute and the University of Donja Gorica, brought together experts in biomedical engineering, technology, innovation, and policymakers.

Several sessions of the conference focused on the National Competence Centres for High-Performance Computing, which included a joint presentation by NCC Bosnia and Herzegovina, NCC Montenegro, and HPC Serbia. During these sessions, Marija highlighted the main activities of HPC Serbia, such as the provision of HPC services to the academic community, industry, and the public sector; successful implementations of HPC solutions in various companies and institutions; and opportunities for collaboration, development, and support in digital transformation.

CMBEBIH 2025 underscored the critical importance of fostering regional collaboration among the National Competence Centers of Southeast Europe. By actively exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices, and pooling resources, these centers play a vital role in enhancing the technological infrastructure and boosting innovation capacities across the region. Such cooperative efforts not only facilitate the development of more resilient and advanced technological systems but also promote sustainable economic growth, regional stability, and the creation of a vibrant innovation ecosystem that benefits all participating countries.
