HPC Serbia, EuroCC2’s National Competence Center (NCC) for High-Performance Computing (HPC), relies on the experiences of our colleagues from other NCCs to build the center that promotes and supports the usage of HPC in academia, industry, and the public sector. CSC - IT Center for Science, a member of NCC Finland, develops, integrates, and offers high-quality ICT services for research, education, culture, public administration, and companies in Finland.

On 30 November 2023, Marija Mitrović Dankulov from HPC Serbia and Head of Innovation Center and Research Professor at Scientific Computing Laboratory, Institute of Physics Belgrade (IPB) visited CSC - IT Center for Science. She was received by Per Öster, Pekka Uusitalo, Dan Still, Elina Voutilainen, and Minna Lappalainen. Colleagues from NCC Finland presented NCC Finland, the services they provide to the Finnish HPC ecosystem, and some of the successful stories of HPC usage by Finnish SMEs. They explained how the Finnish state promotes cooperation and the transfer of technologies and knowledge in the field of HPC. Ms. Mitrović Dankulov presented the current activities at NCC Serbia and HPC resources at IPB. Ms. Mitrović Dankulov and her hosts discussed the opportunities regarding HPC resources at LUMI for Serbian SMEs, the application process, and the support NCC Serbia can provide SMEs during this process.
