HPC Serbia, EuroCC2’s National Competence Center (NCC) for High-Performance Computing (HPC), is the newest member of the network of HPC NCCs within the EuroCC2 project. In our efforts to build a center that promotes and supports the usage of HPC in academia, industry, and the public sector, we rely on the experiences of our colleagues from other NCCs.

On 27 June 2023, Marija Mitrović Dankulov from HPC Serbia and Head of Innovation Center and Associate Research Professor at Scientific Computing Laboratory, Institute of Physics Belgrade (IPB) visited Arctur LLC, one of the members of Slovenian NCC for HPC. With CEO Tomi Ilijaš, she discussed different options for collaboration between NCC Slovenia and HPC Serbia, with a particular focus on their experience of promoting HPC services and resources to industry sectors. Arctur has extensive experience in providing HPC resources and services to industries in Slovenia and Europe. Their tool HPC4SME enables assessment of the current HPC knowledge and understanding of SMEs and their needs. HPC Serbia and the Arctur team will adapt the tool and translate it to Serbian to make it more accessible for SMEs in Serbia. The tool will be used to assess Serbian SMEs' HPC needs and will be available in September 2023.

Ms. Mitrović Dankulov and Mr. Ilijaš also discussed potential projects on which Arctur and IPB could cooperate to strengthen further their cooperation on the promotion of HPC services and resources.
