The online event Molywood-GUI: A graphical interface for effortless molecular movie design in VMD (Visual Molecular Dynamics) organized by BioExcel, the European Center of Excellence for Computational Biomolecular Research, will be held on 16 December 2025.
This webinar will present Molywood, a text-based tool for designing and rendering molecular movies. While previously designing such content required expert knowledge across various fields, Molywood, a text-based tool that streamlined movie design with a modular and flexible architecture, was intended to simplify it. Nevertheless, Molywood still required users to internalize the tool's syntax and required an iterative trial-and-error process to achieve desired results. Now, this tool has been improved in cooperation with VMD developers who have developed a dedicated graphical interface with numerous possibilities. The webinar will present all the novelties of Molywood tools and the way complex movies are made.
